Weeks After Operation Sindoor, Civil Defence Mock Drill In 4 States Bordering Pakistan Tomorrow

A civil defence mock drill will be conducted on Thursday in four districts bordering Pakistan. The exercise will take place in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Jammu and Kashmir.

This comes weeks after India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan on the intervening night of May 7 and 8, to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack. in which 26 tourists were killed on April 22.

The mock drill would showcase preparedness against potential terrorist threats, and will aim at evaluating response strategies in the event of a hostage crisis and terror attack.

During the previous mock drills across different states of the country, Anti Terror Squads and commandos armed with ultra-modern weapons simulated a real-life terrorist attack.
